Data Collection now Custom Forms: NEW Functionality, IMPROVED User Experience

We have been busy re-building our Data Collection feature which is now called Custom Forms.

These changes come as a result of the feedback provided by you, our Event Organisers, to make the setup process faster, more intuitive, as well as provide more functionality.

Below you will find a summary of some of the area that have changed, as well as complete user guides.

What's New?

Turn off address and phone number at checkout

We now give you the option as to whether you wish to collect the customers address and phone number at the Checkout for both Free and Paid events.

Prebuilt questions

To make creating your event even easier, we now give you the option to enable questions that have been pre-built.

The following prebuilt questions are available to be added into any event:

Attendee First Name

Short text box

Will pull through to the scanning app and ticket issued by default

Attendee Last Name

Will pull through to the scanning app and ticket issued by default

Dietary Requirements

Dropdown with Multi-selection

Includes the following values: Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten free, Dairy free, Nut allergy, Other

Date of Birth

Date

Provides Day, Month, Year dropdown fields

Age

Number dropdown

Includes numbers 0 - 100

Phone Number

Shot text box

Has number validation, only numerical characters can be entered

Email

Shot text box

Has validation to confirm an email address has been added

New answer types

We have added 3 more field types, allowing for better data validation and customisation of your form. These are Checkbox, Phone and Email address.

All available answer types:

Answer Type

Description

Short text box

A one-line free text field that allows the ticket buyer to enter plain text, up to 200 characters

Long text box

A multi-line free text field that allows the ticket buyer to enter plain text, 500+ characters

Yes/No

A drop-down field where the ticket buyer can indicate the response of Yes or No. Option to ask Sub-questions based on the answer provided

Dropdown

Allows you to create a drop-down field with your own unique values for the ticket buyer to select from. Option to ask Sub-questions based on the answer provided

Date

A drop-down field for Day, Month and Year

Checkbox

Small box in which to place a check mark

Phone

Free text field that allows for numerical characters only

Email

Free text field which validates whether it the text is in email format

Sub-questions

Ask your customers an additional question, based on the answer they provided to a previous question.

Option to create a Template from the Event

Reduce your workload and double handling when it comes to creating a Custom Forms template. If you've have built a Custom Form on your event and wish to re-use this form of other events, you will now have the option to save it as a Template.

Once saved as a Template, you can import into to New and Existing events
