New user role: Producer User

Updated over a week ago

We’re excited to introduce a new user role designed to give greater visibility and control without compromising security – the Producer User.

The Producer User role is a read-only access level with flexible permissions, ideal for team members who need insight into events and reporting but don’t require the ability to make changes. This role ensures the right people have access to the right information, while keeping your events protected from unintended edits.

Step-by-step instructions for setting up a Producer User can be found here: Producer user

Why use a Producer User?

The Producer User role helps you collaborate more effectively while keeping your events secure.

This role is perfect for:

  • Event producers, coordinators, artists

  • Finance or reporting stakeholders

  • External partners who need visibility but not control

Key features of the Producer User role

Flexible event access

You can choose exactly which events a Producer User can view:

  • All events

When selected, the user will automatically have access to all current and future events created on your account.

  • Specific events

Select one or multiple events – there’s no limit. This is ideal for producers working on particular events only.

Customisable report access

Control which reports the Producer User can view:

  • Choose specific reports they’re allowed to access

  • If Custom Report is enabled, you can set them to read-only, preventing edits or access to sensitive data fields

Hidden ticket visibility

You can also decide whether the Producer User has access to Hidden Tickets, giving you full control over visibility and access of ticket types.

Event day access: Scanning & Box Office apps

Producer Users can also be granted access to:

This ensures Producer Users can actively support event-day operations without having the ability to modify event settings or ticketing configurations.

Transition from Producer Access

The new Producer User role replaces the previous Producer Access role.

Existing users with Producer Access will still be able to log in using their current Producer ID and password, with no immediate action required.

However, if any changes are needed to a producer’s access – such as event visibility, report permissions, or operational access – they will need to be set up using the new Producer User role to take advantage of the updated permission controls.
