Deleting an event
To maintain the integrity of any data collected on an event and for audit purposes, events can closed, cancelled or archived but not deleted.
Closing an event is perfect when you need to make changes or take ticket sales offline. Archiving an event will ensure the event no longer appears on your reporting.
Closing an event
Closing an event is a great way to make changes to your event once live or to stop ticket sales altogether. This means that ticket buyers can't purchase tickets whilst you make your changes.
To close an event:
- On the left menu, click on Dashboard
- Under Manage events overview, click on the name of the event you wish to postpone
- On the left menu, under Basic information select Session times
- Click Edit next to the session you wish to close
- In Additional Settings, and change the Status to Closed. Click Save
- Repeat this process for all session times
Remember to change the status of your session(s) back to Active once you've finished making your changes.
Archiving an event
An event that has been Archived will not be displayed in reports, nor will it appear in any Event Name drop-lists throughout the account. It is a great way to keep only the relevant data on hand, allowing you to report and manage your events with ease.
In order to archive an event, it must have taken place and be sitting under Past Events in the Manage Event Overview. If you are wanting to archive and event under Current Events, you will first need to change the Session time/s to be a time that has already take place. This will automatically move the event into Past Events.
To archive an event:
- From the left menu, click Dashboard
- Under Manage events overview, click the Past Events tab
- Tick the box next to the event you'd like to archive
- Click Move to Archived Events
To move an event from the Archive back to Past Events:
- From the left menu, click Dashboard
- Under Manage events overview, click the Archived Events tab
- Tick the box next to the event you'd like to move
- Click Move to Past Events
