With TryBooking you can have your own Google Analytics tracking code fire on the event landing page and also the booking confirmation page. This will, in effect, let you track your marketing effectiveness as you can track the flow of traffic from your website to TryBooking, seeing those who start to book and those that complete.

Using Google Analytics with Embedded Widgets
For Google Analytics to work with the Embedded Widgets options (both Event Listing and the Embedded widget) it involves cross-domain tracking.
For it to work it requires 2 things:
1. The Measurement ID to be used on both the website that has the widget embedded and added into the TryBooking event.
-
- Log into your Google Account and open your Property (best to use the property you already use for your website.)
- Click on Admin icon on the left side of your screen.
- Under Data Collection and Modification, click on Data Streams
- Then click on the data stream that you use for your website (should have your website domain located on the bottom)
-
Once click it should open a new screen, where you can find and copy the Measurement ID on the right side of the Stream Details section:
For more details check this guide that will walk you through where you can locate the Measurement ID: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/12270356
2. In Google Analytics you will need to ensure you have setup tracking on both your website's domain and the TryBooking domain (https://www.trybooking.com).
- Head back to the Web Stream Details (where you previously retrieved your Measurement ID) and under Google Tag, click on Configure Tag Settings.
- Once open, under Settings click on Configure Your Domains.
- Then simply add a condition, set the match type to exactly matches and enter in www.trybooking.com

Accessing Page views
From within Google Analytics, you should now see page views from the Trybooking.com domain:
- Ensure that you have selected the property that has TryBooking as a domain configured
- On the left menu, under Life Cycle and select Engagement, then Page and screens.
- Search your event URL. e.g. /events/landing/243359.
If you can’t find it there and you have recently setup the cross domain tracking, you can check the Real-Time reports and search for the same URL. It can take up to 24 hours for Google Analytics to update reports.
