URL Tracking Tags

Updated over 3 weeks ago

You can add Tracking Tags to your TryBooking event URL in order to track which specific groups/webpages are bringing most traffic & bookings to your event.

Tracking Tags are also extremely useful when figuring out which commissions need to be paid based on sales delivered in certain situations.

How to add a Tracking Tag to your event URL:

  1. Type your URL into your web browser i.e. https://www.trybooking.com/243359

  2. Press enter

  3. This now changes the URL to a longer version i.e. for the case above this becomes https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/243359
Note: UK and NZ regions the event URL will have a different format, so please ensure you complete Steps 1 & 2 above.

  4. At the end of this longer URL, add ?&track= followed by your a text tag of your choice
Eg. If I wanted to use the tag promoter1 my URL with the be: https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/243359?&track=promoter1

  5. Pass the full TryBooking event URL including the respective tag to your groups asking them to link to your event with this URL on their websites

To view Tracking Tags data:
