Absolutely! You can make your event private and turn off all social media sharing via the Event Publication. It is at your discretion to share your unique booking URL publicly or privately.
Publication settings
To edit your event's publication settings:
- From the left menu, click Dashboard
- Under Manage events overview, click the name of your event
- From the left menu, click Event publication, under Event promotion
- In the Publication tab, update the settings to suit your privacy preferences
- Click Save
Private events will not be displayed in the TryBooking tickets search. They can still be booked as normal if a guest uses the booking link.
Passwords
You can also add a password to your event for an extra layer of security:
- From the left menu, click Dashboard
- Under Manage events overview, click the name of your event
- From the left menu, click Event publication, under Event promotion
- In the Passwords tab, tick the box Password protect this event
- Set up your passwords as needed. You can have up to 10 passwords
- Click Save
Members link
If you have a members-only website and want to share your event there, you can use the special booking link found on the passwords page to direct users to a password-free version of your event. Your members can quickly book while non-members will require a password.
