When you create a new event, it will be set to Public by default. Public events can be accessed by anyone and will appear in TryBooking's Find Event search, Event Listing options, and Purchase to Other Events at checkout. Setting an event to Private will remove the event from these areas.

To set your event to private:
- From the left menu, click Dashboard
- Under Manage events overview, click the name of your event
- From the left menu, click Event publication, under Event promotion
- In the Publication tab, change Public to No
- Click Save

Set events to Private by default
Should you prefer that your events are set to Private by default on their creation, you will able to adjust this setting within Global Event Settings.
To adjust this setting:
- From the left menu, click Dashboard
- From the left menu, click Events then click Global Event Settings
- Deactivate the field Make events visible to the public by clicking on the slide control
- Click Save
This setting will not affect the status events that have already been created. This setting will only be applied to new events created after the save.
