Which businesses can mark donations as tax-deductible
DGR entities:
If you are a DGR (deductible gift recipient) entity, first you must enter your ABN on the account settings page, click here for more information. For each Fundraising page you create, you are then able to choose whether or not donations made to this page are tax-deductible or not.
Non-DGR entities:
If you have an active Australian Business Number (ABN), you are able to fundraise with TryBooking. However, if you are not a DGR entity you will not be able to mark donations as tax-deductible. Any donations made to your pages will not be tax-deductible. TryBooking will let donors know whether their donations are tax-deductible or not whilst they are donating, to avoid any confusion.
