Second Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. Protecting you in the event your email address is compromised.
It uses an authenticator app (eg. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy) on your smartphone to provide you with a rotating set of codes that need to be entered when logging into your account using an email and password.
How to enable Second Factor Authentication
To enable:
If you don't already have an authentication app on your smartphone, go to your app provider and download an authentication app such as Google Authenticator
Log in to your account using the current email address and password
Click on your user name in the top right corner
Select User Settings from the drop-down menu
Next to the heading Second factor authentication, click Set Up
Enter in your TryBooking Account password in the pop-up box, and click Next
Open the authenticator app on your smartphone, and select to add a new token
Scan the QR code that will be present on your TryBooking account in the pop-up
On your authenticator app you will now see the 6 digit code with the heading TryBooking
Enter this code in the Authentication Code field on the screen in your TryBooking account, and click Next
The page will update to confirm the status as enabled
With the set up complete, when logging into your TryBooking account you will still enter your email and password. After clicking Log In, you will be prompted to enter the 6 digit code presented in your authenticator app before you can access your account.
Please note the code will expire after 30 seconds. At which point, a new code will be presented for you to verify.
